Secondary school for design Maribor

Secondary school for design is situated in the north-eastern part of Slovenia. There are 57 employees at school, and about 600 students attend it.There are five fields of studies at our school: hairdressing, media communications, fashion design, industrial design and graphic design.
We would like to participate in that kind of project because we are planning to become the main secondary school in this area of Europe. Our preference is variety of the above mentioned fields of studies because all of them can cooperate to make a whole new innovation in the field of creative srevices.
In the past we cooperated with a school from Italy when a group of students visited us for two weeks, later on we cooperated with a German school for hairdressers when our students visited Germany. We also joined METOD-Metatool project for educational design with Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Maribor and were in the PISA project every time in the last five years.

Leading participant in the TOI project, designing of personal portfolio for hairdressers, designers and multimedia technicians – for more efficient personal presentation in EU. Participant organization will create methodological and didactical support for making personal portfolio, including overall personal image (styling, dress with accessories, haircut and makeup), arranging working place including lights and camera and writing curriculum vitae (in Slovenian and foreign languages). The project will include online training of social skills in working environment. With project partners and students we will analyze the labor market.
